White lampshades with black trim…

Sometimes white lampshades can be a bit boring so adding black trim is a surefire cheap way to make it look tailored and classic.

I adore this room. The high back wing back chair is all sorts of awesomeness and paired with armless chairs keeps it modern. The deep red walls makes this a cozy area I wouldn’t mind recreating.

Buying art can be expensive. Ever thought of taking a calendar and using those images? A black and white calendar of architecture or landscapes would make for a nice gallery by placing them in like frames with a mat. No one would ever know.

When I saw this dining room I immediately thought how much I like the bones. The loft feel and sloped ceilings makes for a very interesting dining space but it comes crashing down with the random vases sporadically spread on the table. I don’t even like the tablecloth. But if I had to pick one thing, it would be the centerpieces. They’re too large and disrupts conversation by causing an obstructed view and….I just don’t like them. What would you change?
