As the season nears Christmas, you likely will be attending some soirees and gatherings with coworkers, friends and family. Planning a party can become extra stressful as you want to be able to have enough bubbly and food for the guests. I think a full menu is cool but there are other ways you can entertain without having to do a ton of cooking. Wine and cheese are sure to satisfy people and this post is filled with Christmas plates and platters from Plate Shoppe that I styled with a wine and cheese theme.
You can display various assortments of cheese, crackers, grapes, salami, bread, nuts, olives, jams and honey on a platter or cutting board with cheese knifes and call it a day. Surprisingly it doesn’t take much to get full and who doesn’t like wine?
You can have a cookie swap party and have guest bring a dozen of their favorite holiday cookie. Doing this will take some of the burden off but still satisfying people’s tastebuds. You could also just make it a dessert party since this is the time of year where people give themselves passes with calories…
Lastly, you could do a Christmas movie watching party with seasonal favorites showing on all of the TVs and have a gourmet popcorn bar. Buy different popcorn seasonings for people to add or purchase fun flavored popcorn. Maybe even have a concession area with movie theater candies. It’s still a festive and fun way to celebrate the holidays and be around family without the stress of a full menu.
Jazz up any holiday food table display with beautiful dishes from Plate Shoppe.
