My friend is flying in town and she is staying with me until we go to Chicago overnight for my birthday. For the last few weeks, I have done very minimal. I pick her up from the airport tomorrow evening and have so many DIYs I want to get done. Good thing I’m off work today to start my extended weekend. It’s also gloomy which is perfect as I find it very hard to stay inside when the sun is out.

The first place I’m tackling is my office. I am having surgery in a few weeks and want that space done way before that so I might as well have it ready before my friend gets here…

So how far in advance do you prepare for house guests?
