Last weekend was fun but let’s start with Thursday. I had a half day and scooped up my younger cousins. We went to the Milwaukee Public Market and I bought a lobster roll. *MOUTH WATERS* The yelp reviews for St. Paul Fish Company are correct. It is so delicious and the toasted buttered bread……omg. It comes with fries and coleslaw. I make better slaw though but it was very filling.
Since I didn’t get pics of the place here are a few from others.
Then we cruised Lake Drive and headed to the river/lake area by the lighthouse to eat, walk and watch boats. It was in the upper 80’s and super breezy.
I continued the calorie filled day and tried the oreo frappe. Also delicious…
Friday I have no pics but went to a bar for drinks with cousins. Saturday I had a seafood lunch with my mom at Twisted Fisherman which is near the casino and along the canal. That was fun to watch the party boat cruises load people up and watch folks struggle to dock their boats….
After that we did a little shopping…
Sunday I went with cousins to what was SUPPOSE to be a jazz festival. With only 3 food vendors and not many people, it was more like come-listen-to-jazz-on-a-stage-while-at-the-lake thing. I was disappointed. They didn’t promote well at all and everyone charged $4 for water on a hot 91 degree day. Ridiculous. The music was fine but it would have been better if they had a bunch of food trucks so it could be a foodie/jazz thing. It was free so I can’t complain too much.
Then I headed home before the storm which was pretty nice that evening. You know I love me some thunderstorms.
