Ways to decorate for the holidays outside of a Christmas tree…

I didn’t put up a tree this year but I did do some tabletop decor, a wreath and garland. I also have lights around my tv stand and towers. There are so many ways you can still be festive without putting up a tree and this post will inspire you. First up, if you have a mantel, you can easily buy garland. The fresh smell of real greenery will give your home the holiday aromas.

Next you can still use your favorite ornaments just put them in clear vases, apothecary jars, bowls etc. Use shoe boxes to create presents and leave them around. Bonus points if the wrapping matches the color scheme…

Simple wreaths hung by ribbon can make just as much of a statement as one adorned with ornaments and less work…

I also like the use of feathers and Z Gallerie has a lot of feathered holiday decor options. My favorite ornaments are my peacock ones from Pier 1 and Michaels

Any furry white rugs will automatically make a space have a winter wonderland snowy feel. If you buy the sheepskin faux rugs from Ikea, you’ll only be set back $9 so invest in a few and toss them on chairs as well with sparkly themed holiday pillows to give a seating area a small revamp…

Disco balls are sparkly and will also look festive for any New Years Eve celebrations. Bark and branches have a winter vibe that can easily stay up through out the season. Place a metal tin or basket by a fireplace or entryway and stuff with greenery and foilage for a pretty centerpiece. Fill jars with white sand or fake snow and create mini towns….
