One thing about renting is the awful light fixtures landlords and property owners install. Most of the time the renters can’t change them out per leasing agreements. It’s unfortunate because there are a lot of affordable and really nice flush mount ceiling fixtures that can be used in hallways and bedrooms. Multiplying a basic styled light can up the ante like in the kitchen above. This light would do nothing if it by its lonesome. Having 6 makes a statement. Supposedly Home Depot sells a similar style for $10 each. So you can create an impact without breaking the bank.
Adding a crystal flush mount light glams it up a bit without being over the top. Who said you can’t have a little bit of sparkle in a room with shorter ceilings?
Here are my favorite semi flush & flush mount styles from Lamps Plus & Designer Fabric Outlet. Direct links to the lamps here.
I agree 100% although I don’t have to deal with that. I do remember the exact same fixtures from every Apartment I have ever lived in. Now my son has to deal with it. We just replaced several of the fixtures in my daughters new home. Thank goodness she’s now purchasing a house so we were able to get rid of those old boring fixtures.
