…Into my new place which will have a walk in closet, a first for me. It’s even big enough to have a dresser inside. Cannot wait to move. I need to compile a moodboard so I can create everything I want and not miss a thing…

Or maybe I should leave my dresser out and put a small table to fold the weeks outfits in piles or display jewelry like a store…
Still need to go thrifting to find some pretty china and saucer plates for baubles.
Love the tape used to create stripes. Thinking of doing that versus painting the walls for the closet Decisions decisions.
Design Tip: if you don’t have shelving units, simply use a leaning bookshelf if hanging brackets isn’t your thing. Actually a bookshelf of any kind would work. See how this mom cave is used for storing shoes…
Creating an inspiration board with fashion figures and looks can help you select what to pair with what on days when you’re struggling with what to wear. I have been making paper moodboards of clothes, hair & makeup for over a decade. Going back to middle school, it was my way of eliminating clutter (magazines) while keeping pics that inspired me. For years I keep telling myself I will refer to those outfits I continue to snatch out and draw them…fashion illustration style.
I drew this a month ago and posted it to instagram. I liked the illustration online so drew my take. I want to devote more time to drawing. I’m too good to let that talent sit. And I want to frame my own drawings for my closet. I know I said this before…but it’s a passion of mine. Everyone who knows me knows I can draw. My day job always has me doing the creative duties of the office. I was great at drafting and rendering in college. I need to make the time. It’s just been difficult with being so cold, my energy is depleted plus I’m packing for a move which is why my posts have been scarce. I fall asleep everytime I sit down to blog…even on my lunch at work. I feel a bit overwhelmed with my task list currently…
Anyhoo…I also want to put fashion quotes in the walk in. Here are some favs…
Which would you want: glitter of gold clothes rack? Pretty sure the glitter has to have some sort of sealant otherwise all garments would look like a disco ball…

Love all of this. I knew you were an artist. I’d love too see some of your work. I understand about you not having the time. I after get up at 5:00 a.m. with my husband get him off to work and then start on my Art. Some time I have actually sat and painted until he returns. It consumes me at times. There are sooo many other things I “should” be doing. That why at times I go months and months without doing any Art.
I was wondering how you are able to accomplish so much. Your job, blogs, ig, pinterest and a social life. Interior design, event planning. You must be a super woman. I can barely manage housewife alone, Lol. I really hope you can find the time to do your Art. You’re exactly right that’s a gift and you can’t continue to push it aside. By the way I love all your closet ideas . You have inspired me . No painting for me today ,I’m about to clean and rearrange my bedroom closet . I’m lucky enough to have a small walk in closet and I really am NOT taking advantage of that . Thanks for the post and have an amazing day .
Your friend, Tracie
