Tonight I will continue the tradition of going to my friend’s house and we bake cupcakes with her kids and exchange ornaments. Once the kiddies go to sleep, I will help her wrap all the gifts. The presentation of gifts is important as the thought of what’s inside but she always gets on my case because I spend too much time trying to make everything look cute. To her, it’s pointless because the kids won’t appreciate it as they rip apart everything at the speed of light. Do you take time to nicely wrap gifts?..
I love these ideas for the guys. Suspenders and ties? How creative. Using ribbon to intertwine like plaid? Masculine and how about this mustache wrapping paper. I love it…
Paper bags are great blank canvases to do some realky creative things. Adding ornaments & candy canes are good for replacing bows. And tissue paper streamers work for textured bows. And one roll typically goes a long way so that may be more cost efficient than the bags of bows stores sell. And it looks better…
Love the above ways to wrap. Maps are great for the jet setters and using a luggage tag would be cool. Old film from cassette tapes work well for movie enthusiasts. Musical notes for the person that’s into music or comics for the comic book lover…
I also like when gifts coordinate with the tree’s color scheme.
Or if the gifts all have the same look…
Design Tip: each kid gets their own wrapping paper so they don’t have to fumble with what’s what.
Or you can print pics of the year in black & white & allow people to open only gifts with their pic…
Here are some instakrushes I have on their wrapping paper…
