Design Inquiries: Is the chevron ombre wall painted or wallpaper?

Makayla emailed me and wanted to know whether this was painted or wallpaper after coming across my post on Taking Patterns in Large Doses. Per the Haystack Needle Online, it’s a stencil that was used to guide paint. You can buy one here.
