Battle of Celeb Pads: Adam Levine Versus Jonathan Adler

image

Arranged around an inner courtyard one open living area with a view is where Jonathan Adler lives. He has an indoor fire pit, skylights, and a groovy Palm Springs–style pool pavilion. Lisa Gray and Alan Organschi of the Connecticut firm Gray Organschi Architecture were hired, in addition to Hamptons builder Carlos Routh. The landscape was done by Vickie Cardaro of Buttercup Design Group…

Wassup with the golden Ak47 lamp right next to Tupac? And what about the skull bedside lamp right under Kurt Cobain? That’s not how I would pay homage to icons dead under mysterious circumstances. Those “celebrity iconic images” in my opinion should be hanged in an office, corridor or studio. Not in a bedroom where you want to spend quality time with a lovely lady. I really dig the classy framed Dr. Dre print. Makes me think of framing a Biggie art print just like that. And the purple velvet couch almost makes me want to forget about leather couches. Way the go Adam! I really don’t get the “white little rocks” landscape on both sides of Jonathan’s pool, though. Adam’s pad definitely has a more beautiful view. His white concrete house makes it look like he’s in the Bahamas. But just on the strength of his bedroom design alone, I think Jonathan gets the prize! I mean, bedside table lamps that HANGS from…a WOODEN ceiling! Who does that. Just beautiful! Love your site Miya! Keep them bachelor pad design posts coming!
