What would you want if you had one? I like the idea of a sitting area and kitchen in an open floor plan. A bathroom would be a must. No sense in walking all the way in the main house leaving a puddle of water everywhere. I would want it to feel like a mini home with all the essentials. A fridge to keep beverages cool. A stove to quickly toss in a pizza or fun bites. A shower to rinse off with all sorts of pretty vibrant bath towels on deck. I’d like a fireplace to stay toasty once the sun goes down and we’ve cooled our bodies from the pool. Chandeliers of course to add some glam…

Gotta have fun storage. The pool house needs its own mudroom

I would want to feel like I’m on a vacay in my own home. So everything and anything that involves relaxing and indulging. A hammock is pretty cool for cat naps. I’d need plenty of
comfy seating from indoors to out. Lots of areas for conversation. I’d want a fire pit. Make that plural. I like the kind that doubles as a table so you can set plates on it while roasting smores. I also like the ones that are more decorative especially the modern ones where fire shoots out of pretty stones. Plenty of tables for card & board games. Adequate lighting so I can read in the dark. While we’re dreaming, I’d even have a spa bed for when I have in house massage therapy lol.

What decor would you have for the poolhouse? A beachy nautical vibe or a earthy coastal look? I like this above. The peaches and aquas are very summer but the pieces still have style. I think mine really wouldn’t be a style but more so color based. I’d want the feeling to be happy happy joy joy with tons of bright hues. But I’d want it to be chic enough for a swanky adults only poolside shindig. The kind that looks like a scene from a rap video…well not quite. But I would want to cap the pool with a thick plexiglass for when dancing & nice white cabanas & sofas for the backyard lounge with illuminated cubes. Think Miamiesque. And what’s a fun backyard without string lights?? Gotta have those. Lastly one big screen for outdoor movie nights

Well that was fun daydreaming. Back to reality…
