Closet & Dressing Room Obsessed…+ men, here’s how to store ties fashionably…

How do you feel about open wardrobe in a room? Do you need to have it hidden or would you rather have it on display. I’m a firm believer you know what you have if you see it. Sometimes when things aren’t in eyesight, it’s out of mind. You forget and sometimes buy more when you had something all along. I like the idea of a boutique feel in your own home. Having a chair or two to lounge on so when you and your girls are primping to get ready for a night or when that man helps take those heels off after a long day of work. A vanity with adequate lighting to enjoy the little pleasures of being a woman from makeup application to loading on baubles.

Those rolling racks remind me of the time I staged my parent’s driveway for the rummage sale. Mai simply used this room to display her best and prettiest. I love that. Using shopping bags as art is a cheap alternative and rather fitting. The aromas of coffee beans for storing makeup brushes are sure to perk one up in the morning…

Seeing everything neat with everything in it’s place helps maintain a sense of calm. If it were unorganized to the point of purses falling down on you as you attempt to reach for something, it would leave you irritated and run late as you’ll need to put it back. Then it makes you dread the thought of getting ready because you know it’s going to happen again…

{Blogger Mr. Goodwill Hunting and his fashionable man cave. I love the usage of urns as a display for ties. The tray with ties spread out is so department store esque. Adding a console with a bench to the space gives more surface for storage. Plus, a place to sit when putting on shoes. It’s simple people…use the same kind of hanger through out. It allows clothing to hang more nicer and visually it looks appealing. Keeping same colors and styles also helps so you know right where to go…

Hooks are such an affordable thing to add. I even think you can purchase some from Dollar Tree. But even if you went to Hobby Lobby or a hardware store, get some! Hang those purses, belts. Utilize even the thinnest wall space…

Wallpaper in a smaller space is a good place for boldness. Go for it. Even if you have a regular closet, this gives you the opportunity to use a style that otherwise wouldn’t flow anywhere else in the house, especially if you’re living with someone…
