Monday Morning Inspiration 3.19.12 + some color blocking decor…

{AD España}

So amazingly beautiful. The bright art is right on time with the color blocking trend. When I stumbled upon this image, I liked it so much I made it my phone’s wallpaper. I am in dire need of color in my life and home. Anyone who knows me knows black is my favorite color. All of my apt’s furniture is black. Granted there are mirrors on my bedroom pieces but still. Combined with black being 60% of my wardrobe and shoes, it’s time to inject some hues. My living room is basically mochas and chocolates with african influences in the art and sculptures. Nothing major just finds from World Market or places that has global and ethnic influenced decor. But I want to bring a bright cobalt blue to the mix. Working on my client’s home and spray painting things new has made me eager to transform some of my things.

And I may be turning over a new leaf because pink is growing on me. I used to like it solely with black & white but now combined with red or orange, it’s stunning. Time to go shopping. I’ve been wanting a pink blazer for a minute now. Pink with navy is hot too.

  1. Thanks for stopping by my blog today 🙂 How great is this office space? I am in need of color too. I am quite traditional when it comes to larger pieces but I need to go all out in smaller accents! Love the quote too. Strongly believe in it. Hope you’re having a great day “at work”!

    1. I’m like you. However I have been toying around the idea of painting a piece of living furniture a bright cobalt blue in high gloss. I love it everywhere else but unsure of if I am bold enough to do it in my own home.

  2. Completely love these images. Pink and red is so fresh, both with leopard and in a white space!
