Tuesday’s Tips: Maximizing Vertical Space…

Everyone isn’t fortunate to have ample storage space. If you live in an apartment or in certain regions like NYC, your closet space may be very limited. What I find often is people don’t utilize their vertical room. You may have a typical 8 ft ceiling in the closet but only one shelf and rod thus, creating all sorts of unused space. Here’s how to make it work for you.

  • Add more horizontal rods
  • Add additional shelves
  • Crates, Cubes & Bins are perfect for stacking

Imagine having this as your closet…

You can imagine it’ll be very easy to have this madness with only one rod and one shelf…

But if you do the following tips, you can have an organized space that also allows you to store more and FIND it all…

Really and truly you don’t have to go to California Closets to get a custom look. Target, Ikea, even home improvement stores all sell everything needed. Also wooden hangers hang clothes way better than wire and plastic ones. Things just fall in to place in a neat way with wooden ones.

There is a catch though even if you have many gigantic closets weak organization will still leave you short of storage. Modern technology and wildly creative thinking have turned the good old closet into a completely unique organization system that can deal with individual storage wants.

    1. That’s very true…you have to have some sort of organizational skills about yourself, PERIOD in order to maintain a neat space.
