This is the time of year where families come together. Unfortunately for most, this is the only time in which families actually dine at the table together. So why leave the table blah and plain when you can decorate accordingly for the holiday? Here is one Turkey Day tablescape that hopefully will inspire you to get a lil creative and jazz up yours.
Found these on Hostess with the Mostess How simple yet so festive is this? It was said that the veggies were from the grocery store, the table runner Jo-Ann Fabrics and Garland from a dollar store. Cost effective and stylish.
Turkey Day Traditions
I love to hear the different traditions families have during this time of year. What are some of things that you do? It could be a tried and true recipe that you serve each year to all getting together by the tv to catch a football game (or in our case, usually the Beyonce concert specials that air). I live alone but one of the things I did back in the day when I lived with my parents that carried on over into my own bachelorette pad is putting up my xmas tree & decor Thanksgiving morning while watching the Macy’s Parade on TV. Last year was the only exception as I wanted to leave early to get a head start on cooking at my parent’s. I must say, that didn’t sit well with me. I end up holding off putting the décor up until after the start of December. But this year, I want to take that time to resume my tradition and start the holidays off right. For me, that’s with the Macy’s Parade. I’m getting a head start on cooking tomorrow when I leave my 8-5 early just to make sure I can be at home during that time on Thursday Morning. What are your family traditions?
