I wouldn’t complain at all if I had to start my mornings with this vanity designed by Kelly Wearstler.

My girl Adrienne asked how do you organize mags? I keep mine in two big baskets that sit on the floor in front of my coffee table from pier 1. I started to buy more but don’t want to aide my obsession so yeah. Lol. Come closer. *looks around*… *whispers* don’t tell anyone but I also own tv dinner stands. (Don’t judge as gran’ma bought them for me when I moved on my own 8 years ago). They come really handy. Not for eating but to pile more mags on, the ones I’m currently reading. But they stay in rotation for about 2 months. I eventually cut out or snatch what I want and toss them or give them away.
Alexandra decided to use her lucite table for something other than what she previously used it for. I love all the little detials to make her vanity area a cute spot. here you can read all about it. I also blogged about my admiration for her home before here. Here are some other girlie vanity ideas…

Then leave it to my girl Beth to have me blurting out “girl stop” & “wow”. It happens sometimes moreso with jewelry than interiors but this post had a ton of things I would rock….
Interiors + recipes = Tiffany’s blog. She takes such pretty photography of her process. I LOVE to cook and go to my parents to do so 3x a week. Though I dislike grocery shopping and finding ingredients I’m unfamiliar with, I love trying new recipes. To have pics of the step by step process is important to me & my tastebuds that water after looking. Here is her recipe to espresso chocolate chip brownie cookies. Thank me later…
This pretty image came from Londa’s site. Red is great paired with earth tones like camel…
Betcha you haven’t seen baby furniture like this! Linda finds the most interesting things. Here is where that came from…
Lastly Nicole asked if hotel decor or vacation plays a big factor? I personally strive for affordable especially if I’m only in the hotel to rest my head. That said, it has to be visually pleasing to my eyes. I can’t do dated ugly hotels. It has to be photo worthy. That’s part of the thrill and fun for me when I travel. It’s even why I have a series Hotel Indulgences which I will add to soon. I always like when bloggers do link love posts so figured I’d play copy cat. It shows support to those who give and hopefully you’ll find new blogs you didn’t know about…
**New Series** Spring Cleaning: pretty storage ideas for makeup & nail polish junkies

So this weekend is one of the first in forever where I don’t have anything planned. So I think I will purge some items from the makeup drawer and dump some products etc I no longer use. Basically organize a bit. So here are some ways to beautify your vanity or bathroom counters. Because if your drawers look anything like the pic above, although pretty, It’s highly disfunctional which slows down the process of getting ready…
I love the how versatile apothecary jars are. They look pretty with soaps and bath salts but throw some polishes in there for a chic neat storage solution. One for eyeshadows too. Or use a martini glass like here…

Or you can do like Racheal Zoe who took a key from nail shops and beaty bars with a wall of polishes with a nail rack. I also know they sometimes repurpose spice rack shelves for them. See this for inspiration…

Drawer inserts are great because they keep everything in place and prevent items from sliding all around upon closure…

Chevron+Mirrors=Swanky Fabulous Credenza

It’s funny because I am a lover of mirrored everything. Mirrors on tables for place settings, mirrors leaned against the wall, mirrored gallery walls, mirrored this, mirrored that. There is something so Hollywood Glam & sophisticated about mirrored furniture not to mention the illusions it gives on making smaller spaces feel bigger. Even though my bedroom set (yes…I know *shudders* as a designer I broke all sorta rules about having something that looks straight out a catalogue. I should not own a complete matching whole set but it’s old, super old as in a decade old. When student loans are almost paid off I will revamp my room lol)….where was I? Yeah…um even though I can’t stand my bedroom set (it’s all black but mirrored fronts on everything including headboard), I still find myself longing for a modern version of mirrored furniture. I like the ones at Pier 1, preferably the vanity. I like the pieces in Kim Kardashian’s bedroom. But what I love more than anything is this CHEVRON mirrored credenza found on 1st Dibs (a site that you’ll browse for hours). And guess what? Here’s how it’ll look in a space…

Lucite & Wood….
Two opposite materials, one being earthy and rustic…the other synthetic and transparent, have such a modern look together. I’m talking LUCITE and wood…
Nightclub Indulgences: Vanity @ Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Vegas

Vanity Nightclub at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Vegas is a jewel toned, pearl & crystal adorned, black chromed out, metallic fused visualgasm to my eyes. It’s even dubbed an “eclectic jewel box”. Mr. Important Design was the mastermind behind this interior. I live in Milwaukee which is a mid-sized city (metro is 1.4 million) but our clubs are not like Vegas in the least bit. So whenever I travel and club hop, I hope it’s a spot that gives me everything visually. Vanity does just that…

Absolutely amazing. Continue reading for more indulgences…
