A little appreciation for graphic floors…

Lots of people will use graphic rugs when decorating but the thought of floor tile being a bold pattern scares them. I guess because it’s permanent. So if you had to have one of these designs, would you keep it in a smaller area footage like a foyer or bathroom? Or would you rather keep it outside?

Remember when I posted these interiors…

I was in awe of this room for bursting with pattern and color. It just seems like a happy space. So imagine my thrill when I stumbled across the other half as seen below…

And I first talked about the banquette for it’s striped curtain panels so when I inspected the pic below I realized….hey, I blogged about this space before. The kitchen is incredibly bright and the mint & white palette makes this space great for cooking Sunday brunch. Such bright areas this time around. I think this “remember when” post should be a new series since I’ve done a few so far here & here .

The above entry designed by Thom Filicia brought something to my attention. I love a bold floor. It draws your eyes through out the space and makes major impact. Certainly not for everyone but I can appreciate it. But I already knew that. It just made me realized I’ve gather quite a few fab floor images into my Pinterest archives.
