You know what I like…a black windowsill or conservatory…

image

Unsure if it's because black is my favorite color or just the fact that a black window pane, door frame or conservatory looks more fabulous. Whatever the case, I find myself drawn to interiors with large doors or windows in black...

No need to paint the walls when the furniture and decor explodes with so much color...

Iconic: Interior Design with art & photos paying homage to icons…

With the shocking death of Whitney Houston, a lot of people posed the question, ‘why dont we celebrate our icons while they’re here..why does it take for them to pass to do so’?. I’ve been trying to collect images the last several months of interiors that have Marilyn Monroe and other iconic figures. With this weekends events, I guess there is no better time to show you what I have. Whether it’s someone who is deceased or your current favorite, you can display the admiration of any iconic image in a tasteful, non cheesy way…

Rooms with a view 2.3.12…

image
I normally don’t gravitate to white interiors like most people. It’s clean, it’s fresh but seems totally unattainable. I like the spaces but couldn’t live there myself. However these are designed so well. Different textures, fabulous skyline views and yall know how I love me some skyscrapers. Then to top it off with herringbone floors! I’m sold.

That’s a nice multi-use space that can be closed off for studying or reading. If it were a traditional door, this room may not be able to have a desk area because of the clearance issue. So do you prefer sliding doors or pocket doors? Both save on space but different styles.

My Brother is a construction worker but I never noticed Sawhorse Desks until now…

That rocking chair is nothing shy of gorgeous. I like the textures of the wallpaper and the layered rugs & open shelving used to create a modern nursery…
