Really loving me some lion pulls for dressers …

image

In many of my door posts I have become more fond of lion door knockers. But ever since this post I have been really obsessed with them and want to put them on my closet doors. But after seeing this I feel like I need to add them to a dresser drawer. They just give the oomph exclamation point to the final look.

Love the furniture in these interiors…

The curves and nailheads of this chair and that headboard is fabulous. Yes the details of decor and accessories does make a space but just as important is the big pieces of furniture. I adore an interior with a chair or sofa that captures your eye. It’s kind of like a statement piece of jewelry. Here are some pins from my Decor & Furniture board on pinterest and what pieces I liked.

See how hardware can change the look of inexpensive ikea closet furniture

image

For the record I love Ikea. Since Milwaukee doesn’t have one I am forced to visit the one south of Chicago..two hours away. NOT convenient so I can’t wait to hit them up in a few weeks when I go to Atlanta for my birthday. That said,I am not the designer that frowns upon their stuff. I think most is stylish and best of all, affordable. Not everyone can go out and hire custom closet designers. SO when I see people like Jen Ramos style closets fabulously while making them appear more high end by doing minor changes, it makes me happy.

First when using double sided tape, Jen added oompf to the drawers with leopard wallpaper. See how wallpaper doesn’t have to be strictly for walls. You can repurpose them for multiple uses..

Next she used some sleek and modern knobs from myknobs to up the look a notch. It’s something I recently blogged about on ways to transform old dressers.

Another round of interiors I like from everyday people..

One of the things I enjoy is coming across a person, often times not taught in design, one who isn’t working in the industry but has an innate taste for beautiful aesthetics and details. So here is a round-up of some I came across recently and why I enjoy their spaces. Above the warm walls with the milky white baseboard and contrasting bright bubblegum pink dresser is fab to me. It’s not the color pink I like, it’s jazzing up something old to make it new…
