I have desires to make time to draw again. I set a goal then life happened & yeah…..you know how that goes. Then when I do have time, I forget it’s something I want to do. Then I see others who’ve carved out that time & opened shops & it encourages & inspires me. Adrienne had a great point when she said stop looking at others’ work & create your own!!

She has original greeting card designs and here are my favs. You can visit By Eclectica to purchase. What fun ways to write that thank you note or just say hi. When was the last time you had a conversation on the phone? Now when did you last write a note? Let’s not make these communication forms becoe extinct…

Now Jessica has blogged other watercolor pieces before but true story: when I tweeted a pin, I didn’t even realize it was her originals until she thanked me. Thats what happens when you can’t visit your favs daily. Had I done so I would have seen her post sharing The Aestate shop additions. Duh.

I love my creative people. Been drawing since I was a toddler when my mom sat me down w/pen and paper. To this day I prefer pens to draw. Weird. In elementary the class would always have me draw whatever it was teachers assigned. Then at conferences they complained the whole classes art looked the same because everyone wanted me to draw this & that. LOL. In high school everybody knew me for drawing chicks in fly clothes or other randoms. I even majored in art-ed originally because I wanted to be a high school art teacher & I hate that schools remove the arts…of all kinds. Don’t get me started on that. So when I see creative people, in my head, we have a special bond. I’ll leave the painting to them tho…I can only draw. :-)

Sidenote: shout out to my parents for their 31st anniversary of marriage Tuesday. Gross. I kid I kid lol
