Now one thing about mags that I love is the cheap wall art ideas. I didn’t realize it until reading Boutique La Boheme, that framing snatch outs from mags is a good idea. I thought about taking covers from childrens books and framing them. Why not use same concept. Sometimes the photography of a photoshoot is too pretty to pass up..

You know I love my bookshelves and I tend to gravitate more toward books grouped with like hues. What do you prefer? Does it make a difference or are you concerned more with how the shelves are styled & if it’s a combination of vertically & horizontally placed books?
I went to my lil cousin’s high school graduation last night (he’s going to the Army) and it got me thinking of ways to decorate these celebrations. What better than using the books you bought (if in college) or get some for cheap at the Goodwill or borrow them from the library. If you buy, tear out the pages & make runners for the tables or stack them up along the wall as a backdrop to a food spread. Use books and ribbon to elevate heights of platters for the tablescape & stream some as a banner. Gather images from childhood to this moment or just the high school or college years and form the year they’re graduating on the wall. In this case it would be 12. It’s a great way to laugh and take a walk down memory lane…

I finally caught up on some reads with online shelter mags and realized I been missing out on some office eye candy! I love a room that has an eclectic mix of styles and colors. One that has visual richness from the colors and textures. One that oozes femininity but still has masculine structured touches. And to have the beauty of ones heels on display?
