I made this my computer background. How gorgeous. The candles and sconces and uplights cast the most perfect glow for this party. I love how the pearls are draped. So simple but luxe. The drapery though…is so regal. I just can’t stop minimizes my screens to stare at this space.
Now those chandeliers are everything. I want a party like this!!!
The black is calling me!!
That rhymed and I wasn’t trying. Summer Thornton has a few designs that caught my eye while browsing Marcus Design. Usually I shy away from heavy wood but the purple and cheetah fabric makes it too good to resist. Taking a look that is traditional and pairing with modern up to date patterns and colors can prevent any older home from feeling old-timey or stuffy…
What I like about this room is the headboard, the layering of pillows, the bedding and the coral pops of color. Usually you see benches in front of beds but I like the chairs and small table as a nice spot to take in some coffee or catch the news…
Then there is this….a nicely designed nursery with furniture pieces that will grow with the child. You can easily put everything minus the crib in other areas of the home and it’ll work. Despite using such adult pieces, the room doesn’t lack any of the cutesy elements that baby rooms have. The popular zebra wallpaper can go along with any animal themed room. Using rustic fall hues and blue is more of a modern room palatte. Durable leather poufs and velvet upholstery is soft for the baby but still very stylish.
