I came across this right after I published my color schemes:coral peach black & gray post. Don’t you hate that? Well I like this space because it’s lived in. As much as I love staging, I hate to see home tours so perfect with all elements of the homeowner’s interest removed, that it feels like a front. You can have a lived in look and still manage to be chic, classic, & fabulous. This area has a casual glam feel. Comfortable looking but luxurious qualities in the color palette, materials and textiles. Speaking of, I always love how black and gray brings the girly hues down a notch. Nothing about this space feels kiddish or tween. Love it.

While going through Pinterest I noticed trend on my DIY board. There are so many things you can paint around the home…some unexpected to spruce up things up and add color. I especially dig Ikea’s gold leaf transformation of a basic chair. Check out my Pinterest to go to the sites of the projects.
How frigging gorgeous is this. I mean…what! I have always been fond of the symmetrical showrooms and catalogue spaces. This is by far the best. So dramatic and dreamy.
I was first drawn to the architectural details of the Boston Flagship store. The windows and molding is breathtaking. I have blogged many times on arched windoes including this post on ways to dress them with curtains. The arches in this Moroccan post were everything but if I could have the ones from here in my living room, I’d be a happy camper.

Love the way the photographer captured this. I also like the way Kelly filled each area of wall space with art. Sometimes we feel like we’re unable to hang art if it’s a weird wall space. This proves you can.
