Kelly Wearstler in the new Lonny Mag…

Love the way the photographer captured this. I also like the way Kelly filled each area of wall space with art. Sometimes we feel like we’re unable to hang art if it’s a weird wall space. This proves you can.

Dark and dramatic but seemingly comfortable….

The lighting is pretty funky…

Pretty outdoor setting…

This decorative gold mirror trumps a medicine cabinet any day.

I am just in awe of the materials she uses for surfaces and walls. Everything ia bold and in your face.

I like how the geometric arch is echoed in the sofa below…

Finally found images of the Kardashian/Jenner residence designed by Jeff Andrews

image

One Kardashian family member was quoted saying “If something is merely beautiful as a piece of art, that’s one thing. But when you need to live in a space and have it function as your life does, that’s where good design happens.” I agree. I watch that family’s show and it’s spinoffs…..sue me. But part of the reason is the settings backdrop has always been fabulous. I like deep tones and lots of textures, elements of Hollywood glam with reflective finishes all the while keeping the space liveable. You don’t view their home as a place you can’t relax in and touch and it’s something I feel Jeff Andrews has designed quite well. It’s luxurious in the materials but still has a liveable comfortable aesthetic. I’d move in…..sans all the people.
