Love the way the photographer captured this. I also like the way Kelly filled each area of wall space with art. Sometimes we feel like we’re unable to hang art if it’s a weird wall space. This proves you can.
Dark and dramatic but seemingly comfortable….
The lighting is pretty funky…
Pretty outdoor setting…
This decorative gold mirror trumps a medicine cabinet any day.
I am just in awe of the materials she uses for surfaces and walls. Everything ia bold and in your face.
I like how the geometric arch is echoed in the sofa below…
Twins Teman & Teran Evans (HGTV’s design consultants for the show High/Low Project) live together & collaborated to create a home that effectively mixes higher end pieces with lower price point retail chain stores. Covering a living room wall with … Continue reading →
One Kardashian family member was quoted saying “If something is merely beautiful as a piece of art, that’s one thing. But when you need to live in a space and have it function as your life does, that’s where good design happens.” I agree. I watch that family’s show and it’s spinoffs…..sue me. But part of the reason is the settings backdrop has always been fabulous. I like deep tones and lots of textures, elements of Hollywood glam with reflective finishes all the while keeping the space liveable. You don’t view their home as a place you can’t relax in and touch and it’s something I feel Jeff Andrews has designed quite well. It’s luxurious in the materials but still has a liveable comfortable aesthetic. I’d move in…..sans all the people.
I believe Kourtney Kardashian was interviewed here by Oprah…

After black, purple is my favorite hue. Not the grape shade but the deep plums and shades that look a bit bluish. I even love the pink purples like magenta and mulberry. To have velvet upholstery in the color is so rich and regal.
It was the brass hardware, antique lighting and marble surfaces that drew me to her kitchen as seen in this Indulge Daily post. I even first blogged about those beautiful door knockers below in the ways to beautify closet doors … Continue reading →
