Freeze fruit in ice cube trays to jazz up drinks for Memorial Day

image

This is a fun way to add color to water or punch bowls. Pour 3 parts diet lemon line soda to one part vodka with fresh mint leaves and you have a low cal refreshing adult beverage. For a graduation party, try to use fruit of the schools colors. This can work well for a beverage station at a shower or anything.

Color Schemes: Coral, peach, black & gray

image

I haven’t contributed to this series in eons but when I came across this color scheme on Design Seeds, I knew I had to find more inspiration so here goes. The dark tones keeps it tailored and masculine but the peachy hues keeps it sweet. This can work well for a nursery, bridal party attire and tablescapes.

Cute mustache & lips themed gender reveal party decor

image

Isn’t this a cute party idea since lips and mustaches are ever so popular now? Especially if you’ve already had a shower and don’t feel comfortable having another, you can still celebrate the birth of a new baby with a sip n see and celebrate the expecting new child with a gender reveal party. How do you like these new aged baby shindig ideas?

Pastel floral tea party decor perfect for a shower, brunch or Easter…

image

Being that Easter is in a few weeks, which seems odd for some reason, I decided to do a pastel tea party post since those are the same colors used to decorate for Easter time…

Get more bang for your buck by hosting a little brunch with your adult lady friends or setting a themed playdate for your daughter, niece, etc…

image

You want to dress up for a tea party. Think, ladies who lunch. With girly dresses and maybe even hats, lace, frills, flowy A-lined skirts, ruffles etc. For little girls, dresses and feather boas, gloves and all of that jazz.

image

If you want, even have a few costume dresses on hand so those that come unprepared can at least change into something festive at the party. Leave out a vintage luggage case with different props that they can go through to add to their look.

image

Those same props can be used against a backdrop for a photo booth photoshoot. So that means anything that goes with little girls dressing up: costume jewelry, scarves, crowns, glitter heels.

It’s always cute to see little girls in adult heels playing dress up. I done it too.

DIY Garland inspiration…

image

{via}
This layered garland look is so pretty. Garland is one of the best ways to decorate for any party. It sets the tone and sometimes gives directions (think if you’re having a champagne bar…a banner can tell guests exactly where it is so they don’t have to ask). They are pretty hovering over your head when streamed from wall to wall or as a backdrop to a food table display or photo booth.
