I am going to Atlanta for my birthday…the dirty 30s. My youth lasts only 2 more days. Not even. But why did I end up getting an allergic reaction to new lip gloss? My top lip is swollen like daffy duck. It’s going down now only because I went to my dr first thing in the morning. So that put a lil damper on my trip…

Unfortunately here in Milwaukee, the state of Wisconsin & other midwestern areas are experiencing a drought. Our summers usually are filled with storms (some tornado producing (not in the city though) but this summer has been so dry. It’s causing people’s grass to look like hay. The farmers are seeing negative results which means soon corn, veggies and even beef (because cows and other animals are fed corn) will end up higher in price. That’s definitely not something any of us want….
I personally LIVE for thunderstorms. The sound of the rumbling skies, heavy rains, & seeing my cat dart across my apartment is alway hilarious to me. Though some storms produce floods yearly (including my parent’s rec room which my brother & I remodeled…you can see the After Pics on my portfolio site), I think we all want a little bit more rain. I know I for one, am tired of dead yellow patches of grass…
So I figured I’ll leave a little floral inspiration. What a great idea above? Using decorative jars to keep out the bugs and animals. I’m sure that’s costly…

I came across this on Pinterest and realized I haven’t done another Random Pretty post. So here goes. This one is beauty related with a lot of emphasis on the lips. My friend gave me some lip gloss in a mulberry hue that she never wore and it was hard for me to get used to it despite the compliments. I’m used to doing a nude gloss but these pics make me want to try something different for these soup coolaz (big lips)

Sometimes I pin things on Pinterest that I just want to share. Especially because I have a huge appreciation for photography. So I figured I’d periodically do a random pretty things post where I have things that doesn’t always fit the interior design/event planning mode. For this one, I noticed I love the airyness of wind blowing in fabric because of how fluid it looks…kind of like the ink exploding in the water in the last image. Enjoy…
