Finally found images of the Kardashian/Jenner residence designed by Jeff Andrews

image

One Kardashian family member was quoted saying “If something is merely beautiful as a piece of art, that’s one thing. But when you need to live in a space and have it function as your life does, that’s where good design happens.” I agree. I watch that family’s show and it’s spinoffs…..sue me. But part of the reason is the settings backdrop has always been fabulous. I like deep tones and lots of textures, elements of Hollywood glam with reflective finishes all the while keeping the space liveable. You don’t view their home as a place you can’t relax in and touch and it’s something I feel Jeff Andrews has designed quite well. It’s luxurious in the materials but still has a liveable comfortable aesthetic. I’d move in…..sans all the people.

I think I will paint my bedroom charcoal gray in my new place…

image

I find this hue a beautiful neutral that’s fresh and modern. It compliments any color and I think it will be something I won’t tire of. I can’t wait for the raspberry and plum tones of my bedroom decor to stand out against a charcoal gray backdrop. What do you think?

Have you used this in your home? If so, what colors does your gray contrast with?

iWant a fireplace mantle so bad….even a faux one…

image
I am moving next month into a bigger place. Off to the side of my new living room is a den. It’s kind of like a formal dining room which has an opening that looks out into the living room. I want to make it an office but I really can envision having a fireplace there. Not an electric one but a faux fireplace. I think that would make for a very romantic slash cozy intimate space. I adore the one above and all the styling that went along with it. The tiled mirrored backsplash is a nice alternative to pictures, mirrors or tvs.

This above is perfect styling. A cluster of candles to bring a nice glow and heat. The gold accents against a classic black & white palette is another reason I love it.

I forgot the blogger who this belongs to but painting the inside black chalkboard is genius. And decorating withshoes is so fun.

Carefully Edited but Liveable Aesthetic: interiors designed by Greg Natale

image
I could live in any one of his designed homes and be happy with life. The homes have comfortable looking seating that you want to lounge on but the spaces aren’t overwhelmed with things. It appears the choices of decor were carefully selected leaving a very clean look…

The molding is beautiful and gives so much character to the home. Love the arched entry. But with modern furniture, it feels fresh and not dated in time. I know a lot of people frown upon painting wood but I would totally do it too. To me, I appreciate the details more when painted white or black.

Love the gray & blue hues…

Remember when I posted this gray & purple room…

In the geometric decor post? Well here’s the rest of the home designed by Amanda Nisbet…
image

The felt blue walls gives the room warmth and a coziness that I love. The jewel tones are so rich and vibrant. It reminds me of this glamorous home. The classic chesterfield sofa with nailhead trim looks stunning against the purple chair. And my fav, the herringbone wooden floors. I would swap out the art for something abstract and move riiight in.

The magenta silk wallpaper is a bold and beautiful choice grounded by the black in the table and rug…
