Really like this gradient color along this tablescape for a Jimmy Choo party.
Lining balloons along the length of table in a row is a nice touch. Speaking of…
Aren’t these striped balloons chic? Purchase them from Oriental Trading.

Love the colors and how simple party decor can be displayed in a way that makes a big impact. That backdrop is amazing. Switch out the XOs and this can easily be a bridal shower or birthday party.

I hope you all have a wonderful day today and have most cherished memories and times spent with friends and family. I am beyond excited that all day NBA games will be in full effect. Besides being in front of the tv with good food amd family, I will be heading over to my parent’s house to make a big breakfast and then a red velvet cake to take to my brother’s. I also plan to watch the Disney parade and Gremlins on dvr lol and read magazines. Hope Santa brings you everything you want…
Hosting a party or get together can easily turn into a daunting task for those who never really do it. Questions about colors and themes, what to get and where to get them from easily make something that should be fun…into a stressful situation.Add on the task of keeping the atmosphere going and one can surely stress themselves out.
With all the upcoming festivities, here are some tips on keeping that bar/beverage area on point. These will make your party tonight or in the upcoming future run smooth.
Soaking a sugar cube in bitters in the glass, then top with bubbly. Or just add a splash of fruit-based liquor to your champagne for a DIY Royale.
Setting up the bar you will need a bar knife for garnishes, tongs, bottle opener, strainers, shakers, bar towels, spoons (for cherries etc), ice bucket, ice, trays, napkins and coasters, bowls (garnishes) rugs (floor protection).

This layered garland look is so pretty. Garland is one of the best ways to decorate for any party. It sets the tone and sometimes gives directions (think if you’re having a champagne bar…a banner can tell guests exactly where it is so they don’t have to ask). They are pretty hovering over your head when streamed from wall to wall or as a backdrop to a food table display or photo booth.

Bringing the outdoors in doesn’t have to be all natural. You can add a little glitz to it. Cork, twigs, branches, woodchips, acorns and bark all play up wood themes. Glittery accents and candlelit tablescapes creates an intimate cozy space. And you can go to neighborhood stores to get the look.
And below are some snapshots from my favorite store Target below….
As a designer I pay attention to the details of everything. When one of the Kardashians instagrammed themselves in front of a stove, I think I was the only one who looked first at the backsplash. When I go to … Continue reading

One of my friends wanted some help with ideas on styling the table. I love bringing the outdoors in for the holidays and branches is something I used for an anniversary party too. I love the rustic look but I’m a glamdoll by nature so sparkly, glittery, metallic hues are a must. Gather branches from your yard or the park and spray paint them. Turkey day is all about family and I think those warm feelings we get calls for a warmer color scheme. So opt for browns, golds & bronze colors.
If you still have leaves on the bushes you can spray paint those as well. I like this look. Maybe a visit to the local Dollar Store will yield you some results. They always have a cheesy floral section. Spray paint those and place each stem in tiny vases. You can probably get some vases from Goodwills or thift stores for cheap. Don’t be afraid to use mismatched ones as varying heights adds visual interest. Besides, if you spray painted those, you will end up with a monochromatic look that’s sure to be impressive.
Feathers, dry foilage, branches will make for a nice centerpiece but put this on the food table because something so high will obstruct the view of guest. Nothing worse than not seeing who you’re talking to across the table.
