Dita Von Tease on The Coveteur

image

I love the Coveteur for giving us snippets into one’s closet amd their most prized and cherished pieces but it always leaves me hanging. I wish there were full on home tours to accompany the fashion photography. Maybe the creators can launch a sister site devoted strictly to design. I am a fan of Dita’s extra femininity. I’ve pinned images of her on my Feminine Touch pinterest board…so I can’t wait to go back and read all she says in this article. In mean time, here are some pics. That stairway is pretty amazing.

Sharing some of the rooms I like of Kelly Wearstler’s home. You can see the complete tour on The Coveteur….

I love this gallery display of art. Makes great use of what some would leave as dead space because of the height…

These doors & the sheen is simply glamorous…

image

What do you think? She has a very bold aesthetic and a lot of her pieces are very unique and ….interesting. You are flooded with a colorful atmosphere, unfamiliar lines in the furniture & an abundance of sculptures & art elements. It’s not for everyone but definitely unique to her which is what design is all about.

Celeb Homes: Ivanka Trump

image

Complete opposite of her dad’s aesthetic, Ivanka has penthouse decorated with nice finishings but with a sense of liveable comfort. One may ask why disrupt the view of the floor to ceiling windows with a dresser but I think it’s a way to keep some privacy…

image

The monochromatic room is gender neutral and calming. Love the wallpapered ceiling…

image

This metallic mural is a pretty backdrop for the foyer…

image

I guess when I think of Ivanka, I wouldn’t envision this as her workspace. I do like the bold hue of the desk. And the cubed bookshelving is nicely styled and functional.

image

Picking up where the desk left off is a grid styled gallery wall of the same color. I like it a lot.

A tour of HGTV’s David Bromstad’s Miami Condo…

image

David gave us a glimpse into his colorful Miami Condo. He said the ceilings weren’t the standard 8ft in height so in order to give the space the illusion of a higher ceiling, he used large graphic horizontal striped window treatments. Another design tip is placing the rod as close to the ceiling as possible. It draws your eyes up

Battle of Celeb Pads: Adam Levine Versus Jonathan Adler

image

Arranged around an inner courtyard one open living area with a view is where Jonathan Adler lives. He has an indoor fire pit, skylights, and a groovy Palm Springs–style pool pavilion. Lisa Gray and Alan Organschi of the Connecticut firm Gray Organschi Architecture were hired, in addition to Hamptons builder Carlos Routh. The landscape was done by Vickie Cardaro of Buttercup Design Group…

Love the wall detail and pops of color true to Jonathan’s aesthetic…

Now Adam Levine too has a fabulous view in the Hollywood Hills.

Classic photo of Dr. Dre framed. Love the velvet tufted sofa…

Benjamin Moore’s Black painted walls creates a moody space with Merlot hued accents …

That gun lamp is awfully popular and ironically sits under a framed photo of Tupac…

His celebrity iconic images doesn’t stop.  A gallery wall of photographs featuring portraits of Kurt Cobain, Bob Dylan, and Stevie Wonder with Bob Marley…

So if you had to pick, which star’s home would you live in? For me, I’d pick Adam’s…

Obsession: A guy’s way of life in design & storage…

image

Something is wrong with me. I’m not super duper girly. I don’t wear dresses and my style is moreso skinny jeans, a v-neck shirt under a blazer or cropped jacket. But I do love feminine things like my cocktail rings, bangles & cat eye (which I been rockin since high school, before it became trendy again…after all my eyes are slanted) and will wear some stilettos in a minute but…I still love me some masculine interiors. I like contemporary design and the clean simplicity of it all. I may not want that for my own space but…I still crave the images. If I were rich, I’d have one home solely devoted to the style…
