Vintage Marquee Signage and Letters with lights…

image

As a designer I pay attention to the details of everything. When one of the Kardashians instagrammed themselves in front of a stove, I think I was the only one who looked first at the backsplash. When I go to establishments, I automatically think about what I would do differently. So when it comes to signage, I don’t overlook that either. It is all in the details and those things that guide people to the right direction need to have just as much attention. When I see vintage signs with lights, it is almost synonymous with FUN for me. I already like decorating with letters so having them with lights is a cake topper…

Such cute wedding props. They would even be cool for a retro party of any sorts like this kids circus, inside this vintage plane for this little boy’s bon voyage plane themed party, to light up the guestbook area of a vintage travel themed wedding, or the food table display of a vintage breakfast buffet, this pink and gray retro decorated baby shower, a bachelorette moulin rouge shindig or any new years eve bash (really cool party inspiration that I just linked from old blog posts. Check ‘em out).

You can read this fab tutorial usinf corrugated cardboard & plywood. Notice the circus animal print on the mantle. Such a fun party idea for a shower or birthday party. This would be perfect as a backdrop for a photo booth too.

You can also do it yourself using a string of bulbs and dollar store foam & poster board. Here is the tutorial. Personally I want to try using foam board and corrugated cardboard. Easier.
