I am debating what I will tell this person but one thing I really want and haven’t had yet…is a coffee table book. I want to start a collection of books I will actually browse and read for inspiration as well as ones that look beautiful styled.

While I’m at it…I figured I can give a few of my personal favorite ideas for styling a table with books. I do believe there is a fine line between styled and cluttered. Sometime a table can have too many books.

Flowers in the middle or somewhere are always lovely. They bring the outdoors in, always makes a room happy and add height…

I like when each direction has something facing it so arrange books in a way where if someone is sitting they will see the front of the book and not have to turn it. That’s just a personal preference of mine…

Trays as I always say, contains chaos. Use them for remote controls and smaller objects. It just looks neater that way…

A bowl of edibles…whether fruit or candy. You’re gonna snack in front of the tv anyway. Might as well have them easily accessible.

Candles, as far as I’m concerned, should be in every room of the home. I LOVE a good smelling anything so having a good smelling candle or diffuser is a must…

Bowls or artifacts are always nice to top a pyramid stack of books…

Jars are great for storing pens or batteries…

Magnifying glasses are so pretty for placing on top of a book. I even see them often at Tjmaxx or Marshalls for under $14…

Lastly buy books you will read and ones that truly interest you. They can be conversation starters and they express who you are. But if you can find them in color hues that goes with the color scheme of the space then that’s even better ..
