Time to start brainstorming on that New Years Decor…

New Years Eve…a time of new reflection, new beginnings and parties!!! I still love the gold decor that runs wild on this night. Here are some fab party ideas, place settings and tablescapes with the bronze and gold hues. With 2 weeks away, I figured I’ll give yall a head start on some ideas…

This appears to be some neat crafty projects using paper and garland. I hate garland with a passion, it just screams 90s and old Christmas decor but you can always improvise and use it in other ways. On the base of a hat is actually pretty neat…

Cake stands keeps the party favor bags together…

Michael’s and Jo-Ann Fabrics (they should really cut the check as much as I shout them out on this blog) have 3D cardboard letters that one can dip in glitter to match the scheme you’re going with. They literally cost a couple bucks…

A combination of fishing line and metallic wrapping paper can get you a Martha Stewart streamer creation. I actually did this for a client’s wedding once. It turned out pretty nice and the silver paper glimmered beautifully against the dimmed candlelight and chandeliers. See it HERE

Tie together a bunch of lanterns, paper balls and streamers to create fun ceiling arrangments…

The height the candelabra gives to the table creates a sense of luxury. Not to mention the color palette of black, white and gold….

Pure opulence. The black lacquered look really sets this off. It’ll be lovely for an intimate dinner party…

I am a fan of Luxury Monograms for their updated looks for something so traditional.  Having a monogrammed place mat for each guest and giving that to them as a favor would be pretty cool…

Yes I know this is done with real dishes and satin fabric but…I think this could also be done on a budget. You know party stores typically carry more than those “happy new year” plates right? Get some in funky designs, polka dots, etc. Mis match ‘em and play with patterns. Take either gold tape or ribbon and glue it down to an inexpensive white place mat. Then take the regular ‘ol napkins in a punch of color and simply tie it in the middle with the same gold tape or ribbon to create a bow. Party stores also carry disposable utensils that looks like the real thing. Get some in gold or black or any color other than clear and viola, the look for a lot less.

I really adore the different heights of the balloons. It gives it dimension.  Imagine some matte and some shiny. Here are more balloon decorating ideas…

Clear bulbs and ornaments can serve as a pretty backdrop for a dessert table or food spread if it’s buffet styled. This reminds me of bubble chandeliers

Love this for a photo booth idea. Get some funny sunglasses, feather boas and other props to add to the fun.
