Going to your local hardware store, you may be able to get inexpensive countertops for the low. Sometimes places that cut granite will have leftover pieces for extremely cheap or even free. Just do your research and call around. Add the counter or butcher block to the top of the dresser, use additional hardware for paper towels, utensils and oven mitts. Use the drawers to house spices and pots and pans. With new knobs and some paint, this is a great way to provide more storage in the kitchen as well as REPURPOSE a dresser….
